Another Week Closer to the End of the Summer... and one more week until the Auction.

Magnolia is back! Whew! I am glad to have her back, now the duties are spread out again... So as you would expect I posted Obits and Updated our new sports director's bio. But the rest of the week was left to Strictly things of the auction. Auction, Auction, Auction, Auction... did I mention the Auction. Oh yeah, that is what I have next week. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE PILES OF STUFF AROUND MY DESK WERE FOR! :) Well because of this I have nothing more to speak of, I will leave you here and I will post my last this weekend after my last big project is over, the Auction.

....THE AUCTION IS COMING... I can feel it in my fingers...

Now, we all know that I completed the Obits multiple times a day, updated some staff bios, updated the website multiple times, complete my daily jock talk, typed up the daily radio reminders and Sunrise Reporter, scanned multiple documents, and filed many papers, but heck why not add something else! :) ... That something else just happens to be a BIG something else, The KWON Auction, this is a great opportunity the station has to get there faces out into the public and something that can and will benefit both parties. I log all of the items many different ways, create gift certificates, and get things ready to go for the event day. Typing and typing and logging and logging is what my week consisted of... my poor fingers.

Summer is moving quick...

There are weeks that are crazy and there are weeks that are chill. Thankfully, this week was a "chill" week. This week I did the Jock Talk, the Sunrise Reporter, Radio Reminders, Obits, and filed papers. In addition to this I recorded a VERY difficult commercial! Why you ask, well be cause there were lists and lists and lists.... and lists! Not to mention it was for a ranch supply store, (luckily I grew up on a ranch and new how to say the words and new what it was) so I had to say things like Gall Salve, Bag Balm, vetrycin and more... TONGUE TWISTERS! Plus you had to say it all in a 60 sec snippet! Whew... Maybe you will hear it on the radio, cuz I am NOT going to record it again and post it on here! That is about all for my week! We will see what happens this next week... I am sure I will be even more busy with the Auction coming up!

An unexpected change...

June 28
7:30 a.m. Received a text from Magnolia "I am about to have this kid! You are on your own today!"
7:30 & One second a.m. My text "Like heck you are! Don't let that kid come out we have only practiced jock talk twice and you weren't supposed to have him until the 15th!!!!!"

This is were my Monday morning started. Knowing I could do it, but just a little timid about the whole situation and doing it by myself, I made my way to work! When I got to work as was expected comments came flying in about the baby... and me having to take over her duties! "Jenna you ready to be on the radio?," (Thought: Umm No) "Hey cool intern you think you can handle it," (Thought again: Umm No) "Are you sure you can do this?" (Last Thoughts: Umm No). Well dispite my worries, I have successfully completed my first full week of assuming Magnolia's duties.
I am full time on the Sunrise Reporter. I have also completed my first solo Sunrise Reporter side panel ad. Now I am beginning to get into the grove of things.
This also means that I have now had a full week of Jock Talk on KYFM 100.1 FM Bartlesville Radio! Things work a little differently here than most stations, but none-the-less I have done it! Friends and family think it is cool, of course I am now the famous person they are always talking about, well maybe not! So if you ever are missing me for the next three weeks, you can catch me on www.bartlesvilleradio.com at 1pm to 5pm, Monday-Friday, click the "Listen Now" button in the top right corner of the home page under the KYFM- Your favorite music, and enjoy! Occasionally on this station and the others you can hear some of the commercials that I also have recorded.
Other than this new venture, I have continued to update obits, and all the other daily tasks that I have taken over. This week was also billing so a lot of our time was also spent doing the statements for the month!

That is all of it for now! Stay tuned for more later... or just tune in to me on the radio!

Just another week

Well, it was just another week here at Bartlesville Radio. I continued to help with the Sunrise Reporter, update the obits online, updated other things on the web, and many more things. It was a fairly low key week. While there it was a down week there was still alot that had to be done. Just no more added then there was! I was thankful! So because of this, my blog will be short and sweet!
