6:45 am came to quickly Wednesday. I rolled out of my hotel bed to get dressed for the first day of my internship at Bartlesville Radio. Running out I grabbed a cup of hazelnut coffee to pry my eyes open. When I got to the station it had been up in running way before I was even thinking about getting out of bed! Lucky for me, I have worked at the station two summers before so the transition into the work place was pretty easy. Since, I have had the pleasure of working here before I immediately started work.
Halfway during the summer internship the lady that works at our front desk will be taking maternity leave. When this happens I will be taking over many of her duties. Some of those tasks include: the daily Sunrise Reporter, community announcements, answering the phone, obituaries, and possibly her jock-talk (I am not sure if I want to do that one). During this week, much of the time I spent being taught by her and helping with other duties. Not to mention the fact that I finished filing the papers in record time!
Also, I am very fortunate to work with some very fun and facetious co-workers, which will make this summer go by much quicker. I might even forget the fact that I am living in a tiny hotel room, well, maybe not. Enjoyed the short week!
